PCB Announces Team Management for Pakistan U19 Series Against Sri Lanka

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the team management for the Pakistan U19 squad, gearing up for a home series against Sri Lanka U19. This exciting cricket series is scheduled to take place in Karachi, commencing on the 15th of October. The series will feature a solitary four-day match, followed by a set of five 50-over matches, promising an action-packed cricketing spectacle.

Heading the six-member team management is former international cricketer Shahid Anwar. With one international appearance in the national kit, Shahid brings valuable cricketing experience to the role. His solitary international appearance was in an ODI against England back in 1996. In the years that followed, Shahid Anwar has assumed various coaching roles at the domestic level, further enriching his cricketing expertise.

The Pakistan U19 squad is set to gather at the team hotel, with training sessions scheduled to take place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi over the next two days. The detailed training schedule will be provided in due course, ensuring the team is well-prepared for the upcoming series.

The Pakistan U19 squad for the four-day match boasts promising talent, with Saad Baig leading the team both as captain and wicket-keeper. The squad includes Ahmed Hussain, Aimal Khan, Ali Asfand, Amir Hassan, Arafat Minhas, Azan Awais, Hamza Nawaz, Huzaifa Ayub, Mohammad Ibtisam, Mohammad Ismail, Mohammad Zubair, Naveed Ahmed Khan, Shahmeer Ali, Shahzaib Khan, and Wahaj Riaz. 

The team management, in addition to Shahid Anwar, includes Rehan Riaz as the assistant coach and bowling coach, Mansoor Amjad as the fielding coach, Hafiz Ali Hamza as the analyst, Ubaidullah as the physio, and Imranullah as the strength and conditioning coach.

The schedule for the series is as follows:

- 15th to 18th October – Four-day match

- 22nd October – First One-Day

- 24th October – Second One-Day

- 27th October – Third One-Day

- 29th October – Fourth One-Day

- 31st October – Fifth One-Day
