Mohammad Amir Identifies Four Worthy Players Excluded from Pakistan's 15-Member World Cup Squad

Pakistan is gearing up to start their World Cup 2023 campaign with a match against the Netherlands in Hyderabad, scheduled for October. Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting this exciting tournament.

Former cricketer Mohammad Amir has made his opinions clear about Pakistan's World Cup squad, identifying four notable players whom he believes should have been included. In an interview on a local TV channel, Amir expressed his belief that both all-rounder Imad Wasim and former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed deserved spots in the squad.

"Imad Wasim and Sarfaraz Ahmed should have been part of the squad," emphasized Amir, shedding light on the valuable skills they could bring to the team.

Amir also voiced his opinion that fast bowler Zaman Khan and the mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed should have been part of the initial 15-member squad, rather than traveling as reserves. He explained the strengths of both players, stating, "I think Zaman Khan and Abrar Ahmed should have also been part of the 15-member squad instead of reserves. Abrar would have been handy in spinning conditions, meanwhile, Zaman bowls well in pressure situations."

As Pakistan's World Cup journey kicks off against the Netherlands in Hyderabad, Mohammad Amir's insights into player selections provide an interesting perspective on the team's composition. Stay tuned for updates and exciting cricket action as the tournament unfolds.
