In the latest update on the eve of the 2023 World Cup, the ICC Men's ODI Bowling Rankings have seen some interesting shifts. Shaheen Afridi has made a significant move, climbing two spots to sixth place with a total of 632 ranking points. This surge pushed Mitchell Starc down to the eighth position with 628 points. The showdown between these left-arm strike bowlers promises an enthralling clash when Pakistan and Australia face off on 20th October at the World Cup.

At the top of the ODI bowling rankings, India's quick bowler Mohammed Siraj and Australia's right-armer Josh Hazlewood share the spotlight with 669 ranking points each. This balance was achieved when Siraj's ranking dropped by 11 points during the third ODI series against Australia. Following closely are the Afghanistan spin twins, Mujeeb Ur Rahman in third place with 657 ranking points, and Rashid Khan in fourth with 655 points.

Moving to the batting side, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam continues to hold onto the top spot with 857 ranking points. Shubman Gill, despite losing eight rating points after missing the third ODI against Australia, remains a strong contender in second place with 839 points.

In the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s ODI All-rounder Rankings, there has been no recent movement in the top 10. Bangladesh's stalwart Shakib Al Hasan maintains his position at the summit with 349 ranking points, followed closely by Mohammad Nabi with 302 ranking points.
